Website Terms and Conditions
Effective date: September 29, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Mateo Oilfield Services Ltd. website. They apply to the website only. Any services provided by Mateo are subject to the separate quotation, work order, service agreement, invoice terms or other arrangements confirmed for that work.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. "Mateo," "we," "us" and "our" refer to Mateo Oilfield Services Ltd.
2. Website Information
The website provides general information about Mateo, its equipment and the vacuum truck, mobile steaming, fluid handling, cleanup and related services it may offer. Service descriptions, equipment, capacity, coverage areas and other details may change. Contact Mateo directly to confirm current availability and whether a particular service is suitable for your needs.
3. Enquiries, Quotes and Service Contracts
A telephone call, email or request for information does not create a service contract and does not guarantee availability, pricing, timing or acceptance of work. A service commitment is created only when Mateo and the customer separately confirm the scope, schedule, price and other applicable terms. If a quotation, work order, service agreement, invoice or other written arrangement conflicts with these website terms, the terms governing the specific service will prevail for that work.
4. Availability and Response Times
References to 24/7 dispatch or availability mean that Mateo may be contacted at any time. They are not a guarantee that personnel or equipment will be immediately available or that Mateo will meet a particular response time unless separately confirmed. For urgent or time-sensitive work, call Mateo directly and obtain confirmation.
5. Permitted Use
You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- use the website in a way that is fraudulent, misleading, abusive or unlawful;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its server or related systems;
- introduce malicious code or interfere with the website’s security or operation;
- collect information from the website through automated means in a way that places an unreasonable burden on the site; or
- use Mateo’s content, name or branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without written permission.
6. Intellectual Property
The website and its content—including text, photographs, graphics, designs, logos and the Mateo name and branding—are owned by Mateo or used with permission or under licence. You may view and print limited portions for your own lawful, non-commercial information. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute or commercially use website content without prior written permission from the applicable rights holder.
7. Accuracy and Website Availability
Mateo makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and current information, but the website may contain errors, omissions or outdated information. Mateo does not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free from harmful components. Mateo may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the website without notice.
8. Third-Party Links
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Mateo does not control or endorse those websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, products, services or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party website is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.
9. Privacy
Mateo’s collection, use and disclosure of personal information in connection with the website is described in the Mateo Oilfield Services Ltd. Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Mateo disclaims warranties and representations relating to the website, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mateo and its directors, officers, employees and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss arising from or related to use of, inability to use, or reliance on the website or a third-party link. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Terms applicable to field services and other work are addressed separately in the agreement governing that work.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta. Subject to any applicable mandatory law, disputes relating to the website or these terms will be submitted to the courts of Alberta.
13. Changes to These Terms
Mateo may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on the website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised terms.
14. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
